OREANDA-NEWS Indian Sasaa Electronics Private Limited will begin assembling Russian unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) "Transport of the Future" in March 2024, the head of the company Rakesh Goel told reporters.

Companies from Russia and India at the Dubai Airshow 2023 signed a memorandum on the development of the unmanned aircraft systems industry in India, including the creation of a joint production. It was noted that this is the first entry of domestic UAV systems into the international market.

Goel, for his part, said that the assembly of Russian drones will begin in March 2024. "We plan to use the existing infrastructure ... Additional investments, there are not so many of them, will amount to less than $ 10 million," he said.

Russian UAS will be used in agriculture and in the delivery of goods to mountainous areas in India. The CEO of the Indian company noted that thanks to such cooperation with Transport of the Future, urban mobility and cargo logistics in India will reach a new level.

"We are entering a new era of integrated solutions in the field of UAS, which will bring the country's urban mobility and cargo logistics to a new level in full compliance with the principles of sustainable development," Goel summed up.
