OREANDA-NEWS  Russian anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) are capable of confidently hitting Western Taurus missiles that can be delivered to Ukraine. This was announced to TASS by Sergey Druzin, Deputy General Director for Scientific and Technical Development, First Deputy General Designer of the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern.

The specialist called Taurus a difficult target, characterized by a small effective scattering area (EPR). "But the energy potential of all our means allows us to confidently detect them at ranges that ensure their defeat in the central affected area. They are detected and confidently amazed," said the designer.

According to him, the Taurus is a "good cruise missile" in which there is "nothing extraordinary and scary."
