OREANDA-NEWS  As part of the new package of sanctions, Japan has expanded the list of goods prohibited for export to Russia by 758 items. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the message of the Ministry of Economy of the country.

The ban comes into force on August 9. In particular, the sanctions apply to materials for photography and filming, as well as used clothing. In addition, it will be prohibited to import chemical industry products, plastics, rubber and products made from it, for example, tires for large cars, as well as electrical goods, locomotives and railcars to Russia.

The updated list also includes wood and products made from it, paper and cardboard, drawings and diagrams, stone, gypsum, cement, sheep wool and animal wool, cotton and cotton products. The export ban also included metals, including copper, nickel, aluminum, lead, zinc, tin, as well as products made of base metals.

Japan will also not supply hybrid cars and cars with an engine capacity above 1.9 liters, as well as truck tires to Russia. This became known on July 28.
