OREANDA-NEWS Japan has imposed restrictions against the National Welfare Fund of Russia as part of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

Inclusion in the "black" list assumes that accounts will be frozen in relation to this legal entity if they are available in Japan. Japanese companies will also be banned from any financial activities with the Russian fund.

The non-profit organization "Foundation for the Protection of National Values" was also sanctioned.

In total, the new list includes 17 individuals and 78 organizations from Russia.

So, Japan imposed restrictions against 700 citizens of the Russian Federation and 207 legal entities. From the new regions, 311 people were included in the sanctions lists.
