OREANDA-NEWS  The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, in his Telegram channel denied rumors that appeared on the Internet about a possible shortage of food and essential goods in the republic.

The politician called this information fiction and stated that they have nothing to do with the real situation. He stressed that the republic has created a sufficient supply of food and necessary goods. Kadyrov also noted that the weather conditions had only a slight effect on the timing of harvesting in some areas, but overall the campaign was going according to plan.

The head of the republic urged residents to trust only official sources and not to participate in the dissemination of false information, adding that attempts to sow panic among the population are doomed to failure in advance.

Earlier, Kadyrov submitted documents for participation in the upcoming elections of the republic's leader. The politician also said that he personally insisted on maintaining direct elections in Chechnya so that there would be a person in the leadership whom the citizens trusted.
