OREANDA-NEWS Russia has the right to consider Britain's declared direct participation of its missile forces in strikes against the Russian Federation as direct participation in the war with all the ensuing consequences, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, after a statement from the Russian Embassy in London about the consequences of British drone strikes on Russia, promised to continue supporting Ukraine.
"The President warned about our rights to act in any area of the world's oceans if someone encroaches on our interests, on our property. We also have the right to consider the proudly announced direct participation of British missile forces in strikes against the Russian Federation as participation in the war with all the ensuing consequences," Lavrov said in a commentary for the Vesti news agency.
Lavrov added that he "feels sorry for Britain if it stays with Ukraine until the very end."
Last Sunday, the Times newspaper reported that Ukraine had begun using British-made drones to launch strikes deep into Russian territory. The Russian Embassy in London then told RIA Novosti that London had escalated and would be held accountable for its actions.
