Lavrov responded to Rubio's words about the Alaska agreements

OREANDA-NEWS At the Alaska summit, Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed Washington's proposals on Ukraine, which were accepted by the Russian side, so it is not very elegant for US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to say that there was allegedly no agreement in Anchorage, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday.
"When my colleague Marco Rubio says that there were only proposals in Alaska, but there was no agreement, I have a question about what we mean by an agreement. If one side, in this case the United States, has put on the table its proposals for a settlement, on how to approach this crisis, and the other side has expressed agreement with these proposals, then it's somehow not very elegant to say that there was no agreement," Lavrov told reporters.
The answer to the media question is published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
