OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in a 3+3 ministerial meeting in Iran on Monday (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Russia and Turkey), Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters.

"We confirm Lavrov's talks scheduled for Monday in Tehran," she said.

Earlier, the plans for such a meeting were reported by the Iranian media.

According to them, the meeting will discuss issues of regional cooperation in the political, economic, transport, energy, as well as in the field of security.

During the meeting, it is planned to discuss the Azerbaijani-Armenian normalization process.

The first meeting in the "3+3" format took place last year in Moscow without the participation of Georgia.
