OREANDA-NEWS  Well-known TV presenter Tatiana Lazareva (listed by the Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign agents; in the register of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring) said she was being persecuted in Russia. She said this while talking to the TV2 channel, and the video was posted on YouTube.

"I am being subjected to some terrible persecution from my own country. I am considered a traitor, a terrorist, and so on," complained the presenter. Lazareva also stated that she was hurt because of the negative attitude of Russians towards her.

Earlier it became known that the defense filed an appeal against Lazareva's sentence. In December, a court in Moscow sentenced a TV presenter in absentia to 6.5 years in prison under the article on the justification of terrorism. She pleaded not guilty.

Before that, the TV presenter said that she dreams of returning to Russia. According to Lazareva, she has difficulties with living abroad and assimilation.
