OREANDA-NEWS The prospects of Armenian products entering European markets depend primarily on their competitiveness and compliance with quality requirements, said Oksana Lut, Head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

According to Luth, it is the ability of Armenian manufacturers to compete in foreign markets and the quality of their products that will determine the possibility of their promotion in Europe. She also wished Armenia success in this direction.

Since June 12, the Rosselkhoznadzor has imposed restrictions on the import of all quarantined products from Armenia to Russia, as well as banned their transit through Russian territory to the EAEU countries. The head of the department, Sergey Dankvert, previously explained these measures by the insufficient effectiveness of quality control of Armenian agricultural products by producers, stressing that the restrictions are not related to political reasons.
