OREANDA-NEWS Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev commented on the interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin to American journalist Tucker Carlson. He expressed his opinion about him on the Telegram channel.

"The President of Russia told the Western world as thoroughly and in detail as possible why Ukraine did not exist, does not exist and will not exist. Tucker Carlson did not get scared and did not give up," the Russian politician wrote.

Putin's interview with Carlson appeared on the reporter's website on the night of Friday, February 9. The Kremlin has already published the full text of the conversation in Russian. In his video message after the interview, Carlson said that he was struck by Putin's words about his readiness for a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine.

Putin's conversation with the American journalist lasted two hours and six minutes, during which time the head of state answered about 60 questions from the interlocutor.
