OREANDA-NEWS The GDP of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) grew by more than 1% in the first half of 2026, due to an increase in industrial production, retail trade and agricultural production, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation is taking part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (ENIC) in Minsk.

"According to the results of the first half of the year, gross domestic product grew by more than 1% due to an increase in industrial production, retail trade and agricultural output," Mishustin cited the dynamics of the EAEU countries.

He stressed that the key macroeconomic indicators of the EAEU show good dynamics, despite external challenges.
