OREANDA-NEWS The volume of production of computers, electronic and optical products in Russia last year amounted to more than 4 trillion rubles, and this year the positive dynamics continues, said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"According to the results of last year, the volume of production of computers, electronic and optical products is estimated at more than four trillion rubles, which is almost 20% higher than in the previous period. This year, such positive dynamics continues," he said in a video message to the participants of the "Microelectronics 2026" forum.

Mishustin stressed that new enterprises are being created all over the country, including in the Far East. Significant projects for the construction of factories for the manufacture of photoelectronic converters and microwave components are being implemented there, without which no modern communication or navigation system can do.

The Prime Minister also recalled that at the end of last year, the first production of photonic integrated circuits in Russia was launched in Moscow. "Our research teams have accumulated quite serious reserves in this area. Which now opens up opportunities for its rapid development," he stressed.
