OREANDA-NEWS  The information technology industry is one of the fastest growing in the Russian economy, and its share in the Russian GDP structure has doubled in six years, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

The head of government attended the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia (CIPR) conference in Nizhny Novgorod on Monday.

He noted that, according to the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, the contribution of the information technology industry to the growth of the gross regional product in the subject of the Russian Federation amounted to 47%.
