More than 200 residents are missing in the Kursk region

OREANDA-NEWS More than 200 civilians of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region have been reported missing since the liberation from the occupation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the head of the district, Alexei Spiridonov, told RIA Novosti.
At the end of January 2025, the official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, told RIA Novosti that five Ukrainian militants had killed 22 residents of the village of Russkoye Porechnoye. One of these soldiers was captured and confessed. He said that the militants raped and killed civilians.
Spiridonov clarified to the agency on Thursday that after the liberation from the occupation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, more than 40 bodies of tortured and shot civilians were found in Russian Porechnoye.
"There are 330 people in total across the border, and more than 200 missing in the Sudzha district," Spiridonov said.
