OREANDA-NEWS The contractor has started asphalting two more sections of roads with a length of over 2 kilometers on Russian Island in Vladivostok, the work will be completed this year, the mayor's office reports.

"The city administration plans to asphalt two sections at once this year – to the Crew and the village of KAT... 1.4 kilometers will be paved at the entrance to the village of Crew. This will make it possible to connect the village with the University Avenue and then the mainland part of the city with a completely comfortable road. Another 900 meters of paved road will appear on the section from the Crew in the direction of the village of KAT," the report says.

Specialists will equip ditches, install culverts, restore the foundation of the road, asphalt it, install road signs, barrier fences, put stops. Work on two sites under the terms of the contract should be completed this year.

In 2021, the Primorye authorities reported that they received a subsidy of 89 million rubles for road repairs in Russian. Earlier, 8 kilometers of roads leading to the villages of Pospelovo and Paris, as well as the road on Crew Street, were paved on the island. In addition, a road to the Voroshilovskaya battery with a length of 1.3 kilometers was made, repair of the road to the Crew village was started, in 2022 a 2.7 kilometer section was paved. The work is being carried out with the support of Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev. Including last year, part of the funds allocated under a Single subsidy went to asphalt roads in Russian.

Now on the island where the FEFU campus is located, the Eastern Economic Forum is being held and several thousand people live, more than 10 kilometers of roads to the settlements are unpaved.
