OREANDA-NEWS  Frosts of up to minus 5 degrees are expected in the Moscow region on the night of May 3. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, predicted a decrease in temperature for Muscovites, Interfax quotes him as saying.

The agency's interlocutor noted that on Friday, May 2, air masses are moving from the northwest, and the temperature is 7-8 degrees below normal. On Saturday, May 3, forecasters predict cloudy weather with frequent clarifications, which will lead to an increase in afternoon temperatures to 12-14 degrees Celsius.

Earlier, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said that a record amount of precipitation fell in Moscow during the meteorological day on May 1. According to him, the previous maximum of 116 years ago has fallen - 21 millimeters.
