OREANDA-NEWS   The delegation of the Bank of Russia, headed by Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Elvira Nabiullina, visited India, where she took part in a meeting of the heads of Finance Ministries and central banks of the BRICS countries, held in Jaipur. This was reported by the press service of the Russian regulator.

The Central Bank clarified that the participants of the event discussed key trends in the development of the global and regional economies and further strengthening cooperation, paying special attention to improving the international monetary and financial system and expanding the use of national currencies of the BRICS countries in mutual settlements.

At the recent Financial Congress held in St. Petersburg, Nabiullina participated in a session with the Chairman of the Reserve Bank of India, Sanjay Malhotra, who then stressed that the country's economy, "despite all adverse factors, continues to develop at an accelerated pace," and after growing between 7.5 and 7.7 percent in recent years, in 2026, It is expected to grow by 6.6 percent.
