OREANDA-NEWS NATO claims that Russia is allegedly posing a threat in cyberspace, without specifying which episodes it is talking about.

"We strongly condemn Russia's malicious actions in cyberspace, which pose a threat to the security of allies. We express our solidarity with Estonia, France, Britain and the United States," the document says.

NATO claims that these countries and Ukraine have been the targets of recent attacks allegedly by Russia in cyberspace. At the same time, the alliance did not provide evidence and did not specify which "attacks" it was talking about.

The alliance also stated its readiness to use the available capabilities to protect against cyber threats.
"We will respond in a timely manner and in ways that we choose ourselves, in accordance with international law and after consultations with our partners in the international arena, in particular, with the EU," the document says.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly denied involvement in cyber attacks and hacking activities, expressed their willingness to cooperate in the fight against hackers and to engage in a dialogue on cybersecurity. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, noted that Russia's accusations of hacking are a favorite hobby all over the world. The Kremlin has also repeatedly drawn attention to the fact that in the West it is customary to blame Russia for everything, and this is a general trend.
