OREANDA-NEWS  Russia welcomes Indian investments in its oil and gas sector; in turn, it is ready to offer the participation of domestic companies in the development of a distribution network in India, the Russian government said in a statement, citing Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

"Russia is interested in attracting Indian investments in the Russian oil and gas sector, as well as in developing a distribution network with the participation of Russian companies in India. The countries' relations are in the nature of a strategic partnership, and the leaders of the states are in constant contact. Mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of oil and gas projects is actively advancing," Novak said.

He noted that this year India will become the first official partner country of the international forum "Russian Energy Week" during its existence. On its margins, the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry, representing the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the country, will organize a stand where it will present current and prospective projects implemented by the two countries.

The Russian Energy Week (REN) Forum is scheduled for October 14-16, 2026.
