OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting on the situation in the automotive industry, where they discussed measures to support the industry, including stimulating demand for Russian cars and launching an updated vehicle recycling program, the government said.

"Measures to support the industry were discussed during the meeting. Among them are stimulating demand for Russian cars, launching an updated vehicle recycling program, and expanding preferential leasing and lending programs," the report said.

It is noted that the Deputy Prime Minister "instructed the relevant departments to continue further improving the tools for supporting the Russian automotive industry, to analyze the internal cross-section of the industry for the possibility of selling manufactured domestic vehicles in various fields."
