The European Union has reduced oil purchases from the United States to a minimum in two years

OREANDA-NEWS In January-November 2025, the European Union reduced the import of American oil to the minimum amount for two years for this period, RIA Novosti calculated according to the American statistical service.
So, for 11 months, European companies bought oil from the Americans for 35.7 billion dollars against 42.8 billion a year earlier. Thus, the amount of imports decreased by 16% in annual terms.
According to calculations, the amount of American oil supplies to the European market has fallen to a minimum since 2023. Then in January-November, it reached $39.6 billion.
