OREANDA-NEWS In the Kaliningrad region, on the border with Poland, the international automobile checkpoint "Mamonovo-2" - "Grzekhotki" temporarily stops functioning, the press secretary of the governor Dmitry Lyskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"According to the information received, today from 9:00 (10:00 Moscow time), the Mamonovo 2 - Grzekhotki checkpoint will not function - the Polish side will not accept cars. This situation is caused by the protests of Polish farmers who blocked the road on their territory. Please take this into account when planning trips," Lyskov said.

According to him, the transition will not work until the protest action stops. At the same time, Lyskov could not explain how the bus service between Kaliningrad and the cities of Poland and Germany, which passes through Mamonovo-2, will be carried out.

At the same time, the information service of the state enterprise of the Kaliningrad region "Bus Station" informed Interfax that "we have no information about the shutdown of the checkpoint. We are working in the same mode."

Currently, only two automobile checkpoints are operating on the Russian-Polish border in the region - Mamonovo-2 - Grzekhotki and Bagrationovsk - Bezledy. There was no information about the closure of the second one.
