OREANDA-NEWS   In the Russian app store for Android devices RuStore, which is considered a domestic analogue of Google Play, paid applications have appeared. This was told by the VK press service in a release.

"Paid applications — primarily games — have become available in the official Russian store," the message says. It is clarified that purchases can be paid with domestic bank cards, using a Quick Payment System and from a mobile phone account.

In connection with the innovation, statistics on payments began to be shown in the developer's personal account in the digital store, VK added. In addition, quick application publishing tools have been introduced. "After downloading, the service is automatically sent for moderation and after its successful completion appears in the store. Developers will also have the opportunity to manually publish applications," the company said.

In November, it was reported that RuStore will be made mandatory for pre-installation. It was noted that the decision will enter into force on March 1, 2023. The Russian government stated that this will allow citizens to provide uninterrupted access to demanded digital services and services in conditions of external restrictions.

The domestic app store became available to users in May. RuStore was created by VK together with the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin. In July, it was reported that Russians made more than a million downloads in RuStore
