OREANDA-NEWS  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan went to St. Petersburg for a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and an informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This was announced by the Armenian government, RT in Russian reports on Telegram.

Earlier, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alain Simonyan announced the country's possible presidency of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in 2024. He stressed that economic growth is observed in Armenia from cooperation with the EAEU countries.

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said yesterday that the agenda of the meeting, which will be attended by Vladimir Putin, will be "really meaningful."
