OREANDA-NEWS Cooperation between Russia and the United States in the economy could be beneficial, but so far it is absent, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

"He continues his contacts with American negotiators and continues to focus on potential economic cooperation, which is currently lacking, but nevertheless there is an understanding that it could be beneficial. And such eventual discussions are taking place," Peskov told reporters.

Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, is currently in New York.
