OREANDA-NEWS Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking about preferential gas prices for Armenia, pointed to the difference in the approaches of Russia and the United States to gas supplies to partners.
Answering a question from journalists about the price of gas for Armenia, he noted that the benefit is always provided at someone's expense - and the benefit for gas supplies for Armenia is at the expense of Russia, this is Russian aid to a fraternal country.
"This is a fraternal country, it has been and will remain fraternal, but this is at our expense. We also need to call a spade a spade - this is our help to Armenia. For example, the Europeans now, when they sell gas for 500-700 dollars, no one helps the Europeans at their own expense, the Americans help the Europeans at their expense - for a lot of money," Peskov said.
