Putin and Aliev discussed bilateral relations by phone

OREANDA-NEWS The Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, held a telephone conversation during which they discussed relations between the two countries, the Kremlin's press service reported.
"The mutual commitment to the comprehensive strengthening of Russian-Azerbaijani allied relations was confirmed and further personal contacts were agreed," the statement said.
It is noted that the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva joined the conversation. The conversation was warm and friendly.
"The kindest mutual wishes were expressed on the occasion of the upcoming New Year holidays," the press service added.
Among other things, Putin congratulated Aliyev on his birthday.
The last time the presidents called each other was on October 24, and two weeks earlier they held a bilateral meeting in Dushanbe.
