OREANDA-NEWS  The talks between the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will be held in Sochi on September 4, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said.

"The negotiations will be held on Monday. They will be held in Sochi," Peskov told reporters, answering a question.

"It will be the middle of the day," he added.

The last time Putin and Erdogan met was almost a year ago - on October 13, 2022 in Astana on the sidelines of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia.

The current meeting has been preparing since spring, and for a long time it was about the visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Turkey, but in August the plans changed. As the Turkish side reported, one of the key topics of the meeting between Putin and Erdogan will be the prospects for extending the "grain deal" or the search for alternatives to it.
