OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that he will visit the Kuril Islands one day. He announced such plans during a meeting with entrepreneurs of the Far East and the Arctic in Khabarovsk. The event is broadcast on the Kremlin's official Telegram channel.

Putin did not specify exactly when the head of state would visit the region. He also did not specify which part of the Kuril he intends to visit.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova advised Japan to remember the ownership of the Kuril island of Iturup. "The island is ours. It's time to learn," she wrote.
