OREANDA-NEWS  Reducing poverty, inequality and achieving real income growth for citizens is the main task of the Russian authorities. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a government meeting. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

The President noted that the poverty level in the country dropped to 10.5 percent in the third quarter. Putin acknowledged that the indicator has decreased slightly, but the dynamics is positive.

"Here it needs to be saved. Due to the targeted targeted support of the state, the incomes of the least affluent 10 percent of the population are increasing. Compared to the third quarter of last year, they added 27.8 percent," the head of state said.
