OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with the leader of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during which the parties discussed issues of economic cooperation. This was reported on November 30 in the Kremlin's press service.

It is noted that these topics will also be considered in detail during the upcoming meeting of the joint commission at the level of the heads of government of the two countries in Samarkand, which will be held on December 1-2.

The last telephone talks between the leaders of the two countries were reported in mid-September. Then Putin warmly thanked the head of Uzbekistan for the hospitality and excellent organization of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Samarkand, which took place on September 15 and 16

During the SCO summit, Putin and Mirziyoyev signed a declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership. They expressed their readiness to continue developing cooperation in the military field and in the field of biological security.
