OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Irina Gekht, Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District, in the Kremlin on Monday.

The previous time, Putin communicated with Hecht at a meeting with the elected heads of regions in September 2025 via videoconference. Then the head of state wished her success as governor.

Hecht was elected governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in September 2025, before that, Putin appointed her acting head of the region. From May 2024 to January 2025, she served as Chairman of the Government of the Zaporizhia region.
