OREANDA-NEWS Russia is ready for dialogue on Ukraine within the framework of the agreements reached at the meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States in Anchorage, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the heads of international news agencies, which is taking place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"We are certainly ready and willing to reach an agreement with Ukraine by peaceful means. And at the base that we discussed at the meeting with President Trump in Anchorage," he said.

Putin recalled that at that time Russia was faced with questions about possible compromises. "Russia agrees to the compromises that we discussed in Anchorage," the president said, adding that "the Ukrainian side must also agree to these compromises."

"And the conflict will quickly come to its natural conclusion," he believes.
