Putin says the West is preparing for war with Russia

OREANDA-NEWS Western countries openly declare that they are preparing for war with Russia, hiding behind the alleged military threat from Moscow. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reports.
"They openly say in the West that they are preparing for war with us, and they are increasing their military offensive budgets. At the same time, to justify such costs and the radical militarization of their states, the leaders of the NATO and European Union countries, as before, use false statements about the alleged Russian military threat," the Russian leader stressed.
He noted that earlier the states of the North Atlantic Alliance limited themselves to supporting the Ukrainian leadership, but now they have moved on to open statements about preparations for a conflict with Moscow.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said that Russia takes into account the threats posed by Germany in its military planning.
