OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President has signed a decree allowing persons with foreign citizenship to serve in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The document is published on the official portal of legal information.

This decree also includes citizens who have citizenship or citizenship of a foreign state or a residence permit or other document that confirms the right to permanent residence of a person on the territory of another country.
Thus, citizens with foreign citizenship are allowed to perform military service in Russia by conscription and under contract. However, an agreement cannot be concluded with a foreigner if a guilty verdict has been passed against him. This also applies to those persons who have been sentenced or if investigative measures are being carried out against them.

At the end of October 2022, at a public meeting between Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the minister informed the president that the task of partial mobilization had been completed.
