OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian in Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Tehran Times.

Pezeshkian arrived in the city of Turkmenbashi to participate in the Caspian Environmental Summit, as well as in the Council of Heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). He was met by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

"During the visit, Peseshkian will hold bilateral meetings with several leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin," the publication says.

Earlier, Putin met with the leader of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The Russian leader arrived in Turkmenistan on October 8.
