OREANDA-NEWS President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Friday evening, May 8, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters.

"As for Lukashenko, our president will meet with him tomorrow evening for dinner," he said.

Lukashenko will fly to Moscow to participate in the Victory Day celebrations. They are expected to discuss prospects for the development of Russian-Belarusian relations and other issues with Putin.

According to Ushakov, the two presidents had previously noted in a telephone conversation that this was an opportune moment to "celebrate this date together and talk about current issues."
