Revenue of the Russian "daughter" of Google fell by 80 percent

OREANDA-NEWS By the end of 2022, the revenue of Google's Russian "daughter" fell by 82 percent, from 134.3 to 24.2 billion rubles.
For the year, the net loss of Google LLC decreased by 61 percent in annual terms and amounted to 10.2 billion rubles. The company's pre-tax loss decreased by 65 percent to 8.697 billion rubles.
At the end of 2021, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Google for systematically failing to delete information prohibited in Russia. The company was the first to be fined for turnover, its size was 7.2 billion rubles.
In May, the Moscow Arbitration Court seized the assets of Google's "daughter" for half a billion rubles due to a lawsuit by RT about unblocking access to its YouTube channels. In the same month, the company decided to file for bankruptcy, explaining that it was "impossible to fulfill monetary obligations."
The bankruptcy procedure of Google LLC began in the fall of 2022. The company's outstanding liabilities exceeded 19 billion rubles, its assets were estimated at 3.5 billion, and another 1.2 billion rubles were seized on the company's accounts.
