OREANDA-NEWS  Russian forces managed to stop the offensive of Ukrainian troops near the village of Rabodino on the Orekhovsky section of the front line in the Zaporozhye region, the head of the local public movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov told RIA Novosti.

"The large-scale offensive of Ukrainian troops in the area of Rabocino has been stopped. The enemy used armored vehicles, including tanks, to attack, but was stopped by massive oncoming fire, including with the use of aviation and artillery, and was thrown into forest plantations," the agency interlocutor said.

According to him, the AFU failed to break into the first line of defense. The number of enemy losses is being specified.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive in the South Donets, Artemivsk and primarily Zaporozhye directions began on June 4. Kiev has thrown into battle brigades trained by NATO and armed with Western equipment.

According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the enemy did not achieve its goals in any direction, and its losses exceeded 26,000 military, 1,244 tanks and thousands of other equipment, 21 aircraft and six helicopters.
Among the destroyed were 17 Leopard tanks, five French AMX wheeled tanks and 12 American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 43 M777 howitzers and 46 self—propelled guns from Poland, the USA and France.
