OREANDA-NEWS Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec) will for the first time show new weapons for fifth-generation fighters, including the X-69 cruise missile, at the Dubai Airshow 2023 International Aerospace Exhibition. This was announced by the company's CEO Alexander Mikheev, reports TASS.

"In 2023, Rosoboronexport will present here for the first time the Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, the latest weapons for fifth-generation fighters, including RVV-MD2 and RVV-BD air-to-air guided missiles, and the X—69 cruise missile," he said..

Mikheev added that the Dubai Airshow will also present a Ka-52 attack helicopter with a range of weapons, which has proven its effectiveness in countering modern armored vehicles.

The X-69 rocket received a square-section body, which allows you to place the maximum number of missiles in the internal armament compartments of promising aircraft. The ammunition is designed for high-precision destruction of protected ground targets. The X-69 carries combat units of various types weighing 310 kilograms, and the claimed flight range is 290 kilometers.

Earlier in November, Military Watch Magazine wrote that the new long-range missile, which the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter received, actually turns it into a strategic bomber.

In September 2022, Boris Obnosov, General Director of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation, reported that new materials are used in the manufacture of the X-69, which reduce the effective area of scattering of ammunition.
