Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the import of seeds from the Netherlands

OREANDA-NEWS The Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the import of seeds and planting materials from the Netherlands to Russia since June 30, 2025, to ensure phytosanitary well-being, the press service of the agency reported.
"Starting from June 30, 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor prohibits the import of seed and planting materials from the Netherlands to Russia. Measures have been taken to preserve phytosanitary well-being and maintain Russia's image as a reliable exporter, as well as to prevent the spread of quarantine facilities in the country," the statement said.
At the same time, the Rosselkhoznadzor recalled that since November 23, 2023, the agency has already banned direct supplies of seeds and planting material from the Netherlands to Russia. Earlier this June, three cases of infection with quarantine facilities for EAEU member states were found in seeds and plants for protected soil of Dutch origin, which arrived in Russia accompanied by phytosanitary certificates from Hungary, Belarus and Lithuania, the Rosselkhoznadzor noted.
