OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, tourist services increased in price by 10.66% in annual terms in May, according to the Ministry of Economic Development, citing Rosstat data.

Compared to April 2026, the increase was 3.91%, compared to May 2025, it was 10.66%. This is one of the highest growth rates among all goods and services. In May 2025, the price increase for tourism services was 0.38% month-on-month and 1.81% year-on-year.

In the first week of May, the services of sanatoriums rose by 2.5%, hotels - by 1.2%. This is approximately in line with the indicators of 2025.

As explained by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, prices in the tourism market are affected by seasonal growth in demand, inflation, including the rise in fuel prices, and increased business expenses.

ATOR Vice-President Sergey Romashkin estimated the rise in the price of travel services at 3-4% year-on-year.

Earlier, the consulting company CMWP reported that the cost of hotels in Moscow decreased in the first quarter by an average of 4.5%.
