OREANDA-NEWS The unique technology developed by Roselektronika Holding (part of Rostec State Corporation) will make it possible to manufacture chip resistors available in almost all electronic devices without using precious metals, the Rostec press service reported.
"Our holding company Roselektronika has developed a unique technology for manufacturing materials for chip resistors without precious metals... The resistor is a widely used component of almost all electronic devices," the report says.
It states that the new products will be created on the basis of glass, and, unlike traditional gold and platinum, will have a low cost, while maintaining all operational characteristics.
"The new technology involves the use of materials based on aluminoborate glasses, which are used in the creation of electrical insulation coatings for electronic circuits on a metal substrate," Rostec said.
In a message with reference to the general director of the NZR "Oxide" (part of Roselektronika) Lev Nosenko points out that to date, the first prototypes of materials have been created for which reliability and stability tests are being conducted.
