OREANDA-NEWS  The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia reported that the statement of the Slovak authorities on the transfer of MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine is an unfriendly act against Russia and a gross violation of re—export obligations. On March 23, Slovak Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy announced the transfer of four MiG-29s to Ukraine. Delivery of nine more fighters is expected in the coming weeks.

The ministry recalled that in accordance with the agreement, without the written consent of the second party, it is impossible to sell or transfer to third countries weapons and military equipment obtained as a result of military-technical cooperation between Russia and Slovakia.

"Thus, we are talking about another gross violation by the Slovak side of its international obligations on the re-export of Russian-made weapons and military equipment. We regard these actions of Slovakia as an unfriendly act against the Russian Federation aimed at destroying bilateral relations," the service said in a statement.
