OREANDA-NEWS Russia and Algeria are working to increase trade turnover between the two countries, Russian trade representative in Algeria Ivan Cash told.

According to the Russian trade representative, the annual trade turnover between the two countries is about $ 3 billion. "Work is underway to increase and diversify trade turnover between us. Promising industries to increase trade turnover for us are: agriculture, food industry, mining, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering and much more," Cash said.
The Trade Representative noted that the mission to strengthen trade exchange between the two countries regularly holds online conferences with Russian businessmen to explain how to do business with their potential partners in Algeria.

"We inform them about business opportunities, expected risks... a total of 20-30 Russian companies participate in each such online meeting," the Russian trade representative said.

Cash expressed his conviction that the broad participation of Algerian companies at the upcoming Russia-Africa summit in Russia in the summer, the Innoprom industrial exhibition, as well as the international economic forum Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum will "contribute to the development and increase of trade exchange between Algeria and Russia."
