OREANDA-NEWS Russia and China have signed the largest grain supply contract. This is reported by the leader of the initiative "New Land Grain Corridor" Karen Hovsepyan, reports TASS.

Hovsepyan said that the contract amount is almost 2.5 trillion rubles ($25.7 billion). The deal implies the delivery of 70 million tons of grain, leguminous and oilseed cargoes over 12 years, he noted.

The Russian leader flew to China on October 17. It is clarified that Putin arrived in Beijing on a two-day visit. He will also hold a number of bilateral meetings, one of which — with Chinese President Xi Jinping — is scheduled for October 18.
