OREANDA-NEWS   Russia and China will hold joint naval exercises "Maritime Interaction" in the coming days. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the defense Ministry, joint maneuvers of Moscow and Beijing will be held from December 21 to 27. The Defense Ministry also clarified that rocket and artillery firing will be conducted in the East China Sea during the exercises.

It is noted that the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, the Varyag missile cruiser, the Marshal Shaposhnikov frigate and two corvettes will participate in the maneuvers from Russia.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan approved three key documents on national security and defense, where China and its strategic cooperation with Russia were called the main challenges. Tokyo expressed concern about China's military actions in the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
