OREANDA-NEWS Ukraine and Russia have conducted another exchange of dead military bodies. Shamsail Saraliev, a State Duma deputy and representative of the parliamentary coordination group on military operations, told RBC that the body of 61 victims was returned to the Russian side.

After the start of the special operation, Russia and Ukraine regularly report on the exchange of prisoners of war and the bodies of the dead. So, on February 8, an exchange of prisoners of war took place according to the "100 to 100" formula, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. At the end of January, the sides exchanged the bodies of the dead: Russia received 55 bodies of dead soldiers, Ukraine — 77 bodies.

President Vladimir Putin had previously said that the proportions of the number of prisoners taken from Russia and Ukraine were about 1 to 10, and stressed that, despite the attack on the Il—76, prisoner of war exchanges would continue.
