OREANDA-NEWS The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will conduct active battles for about a month and try to improve their positions in the southern direction. Having waited for the thaw, the Ukrainian side will postpone major offensive operations until winter or spring in order to "reassemble" tank units and again rush to the attack. Such a forecast regarding the further development of events at the front was voiced by the founder of the Military Russia website Dmitry Kornev, quoted by RIA Novosti.

The interlocutor of the agency expressed the opinion that Kiev can continue to accumulate high—precision ammunition - air-launched cruise missiles, GLSDB systems for HIMARS. According to him, operational and tactical ATACMS, whose deliveries were recently approved by Washington, will play an important role.

"This is a new system for us. For some time, until we develop a methodology to combat it, the enemy may gain a local advantage," the expert noted, assessing the impact of the latest weapons transferred to Kiev on the course of a special military operation.

Speaking about Kiev's chances to improve its position thanks to ATACMS, Kornev noted that the advantage that the APU can get is unlikely to be decisive.
